Start gathering at 8:00. Leave for hike at 8:15. No dogs allowed in Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons. Find us on the south end of the parking lot. Questions? Call/text 801-278-5313
This is a free event!
RSVPTIMELINE:
- 8 AM - Gather, arrange carpools, final instructions, etc.
- 8:15 AM - Drive to the trailhead (30 min or less)
- 8:45 AM - Start hiking
- 11 AM - Off the trail (Some may enjoy a shorter or longer hike than this. Do what is best for you)
NOTE: Unless it's a "loop" hike, the bulk of the group will be turning around by 10 AM

Equipment or Gear
- Water - 2 liters is generally plenty for our outings, however, 1 liter or 1 quart per hour of hiking is recommended
- Snack i.e. granola bar, trail mix, nuts
- Sun protection i.e. sunscreen, lip balm
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Light jacket
- First Aid Kit - (Optional) (basic supplies i.e. bandaids, aspirin, Neosporin, moist towelettes, etc.)
- Cell phone - service may be spotty in the canyons
- Camera
- Flashlight - Most of our hikes are in the morning but it is always a good item to have.

TIP:
When carpooling get your driver’s cell phone # in case you get separated.
Bring a few dollars to give your driver if you are carpooling.
