Harvest distribution continues, Saturday, Oct. 8, 8 am - 7 pm
Since Friday was so successful, we will continue into Saturday!
It will relieve me of a lot of work and you'll enjoy more continuous days of harvest distribution.
Food available right now:
Follow these steps:
RSVP me via text, email or phone message before coming.
You don't need to wait for a response.
Bring your own containers, bags, etc.
Come to my home, Holladay A Garden, same Holladay Distribution location as always
Enter the backyard, pass the boat on the west side of the home.
Don't knock on my door or ring the doorbell.
Once in the backyard, follow the little ORANGE cones to the greenhouse.
The cones end where you enter the greenhouse.
Gently pull back the material and step inside the greenhouse
Sign the clipboard, located just inside, to let me know who has been here.
Select your own produce from the boxes of harvest.
Take only what you need.
There will be a basket sitting next to the clipboard to give you an idea of how much you can take.
Don't take the basket. It's just there as a visual.
It's about the same amount you have been receiving from us in the past.
Take a variety of produce - not just all one item.
Try to walk only on the boards inside the greenhouse since we have lettuce seedlings and tomatoes growing near the dripline. There are boards on the ground to show you where to step.
Be careful not to step on or too close to the dripline since that's where the plants are growing.
If you bring children, please make sure they stay in the main center isle, on the boards. If it's too hard for them to do that, they can wait outside the greenhouse while you get your produce.
Do not let children touch all the produce.
I am excited to show children how we grow and care for food in the greenhouse but they are required to obey the same rules as everyone else.
Just know we are trying to grow a fall garden inside the greenhouse so be extra careful to step on the boards provided.
NOTE: The trampolines near the greenhouse are sometimes a temptation for kids. Remind your children that they are off limits to everyone, unless you are enrolled in one of my trampoline aerobic classes.
