Sat. June 18, Garden Work to do
6/17/2011 | Sheryl McGlochlin
If you want to help in the morning, go to Taylorsville Garden OR South Jordan B Garden.
9 am, Sat. Talk to Brenna and Kirsi when you go over there and ask what needs to be done. They will help Curly with irrigating our big garden. It's a large job so go to this garden and see how you can help them. We have peas to pick (I think) and weeding to stay on top of.
South Jordan B Garden:
Come anytime on Saturday. There are plenty of weeds that need to be pulled before they are over our heads. Anne Cox and her kids were weed whacking this earlier today. If you have a weed whacker or lawn mower, see if you can conquer any of the weeds that surround this garden. We learned the hard way last year that you have to stay on top of these weeds or it will get real ugly in a month or so from now.
Holladay A & B Gardens:
I'll try to be back home from hiking by 1 pm on Sat. Don't come over and work in this garden or pick peas until then. Others are also coming to help in Holladay at 1 pm.
West Jordan A Garden
is finished as far as the weeds go. Members got on top of that on Friday.
Don't pick peas in Holladay B Garden until I get home, since we picked a lot of peas all day on Friday.
will happen at West Valley B Garden, 6:30 pm - 8 pm. Bee keeping demo and plenty of garden work to be done there. RSVP if you want some of the harvest Sat. evening at this garden.
