I love creating new smoothies and slushies all summer from fruits, veggies and herbs from our gardens.
Here is one of my favorites!
Using my Vita Mix (or any good blender) add ingredients in this order:
4 c. Ice
3 c. Cold water
2 scoops Country Time Lemonade
1 TBSP frozen Limeade Concentrate*
Handful of fresh Mint Leaves rinsed (Add stems and leaves!) I grow my own mint plants in pots.
1 c. Green Grapes
Blend it and watch it turn green!
* I buy a 12 oz can of frozen limeade then add just 1 TBSP for each recipe, which makes it last longer.
Tweak it as needed, by adding more water or ice to create a desired consistency
OPTIONAL: Right before serving add 1 - 2 TBSP of Canada Dry Soda to each drink
I am not a soda drinker nor do I like to promote soda since I've seen way too many of my friends get addicted and live on practically nothing but their soda, however, adding a little Canada Dry or 7-UP makes this drink really delicious.
Even without the soda I think this is super delicious!!!
My 3 grandkids (ages 3 - 9) couldn't get enough of it.
