What I appreciate most about hiking or snowshoeing with Sheryl is her concern for those she takes with her. Snowshoeing may seem to some to be as simple as strapping on a pair of snowshoes and heading into the mountains, but that is a good way to end up in big trouble. Sheryl ensures that outings are outside of avalanche areas, and educates participants on the dangers of avalanches. And she also not only encourages participants to dress appropriately, bring food and water and other supplies, but she packs plenty of extras for those who aren't fully prepared.
