Summer and winter activites
I started hiking with Sheryl’s group three winters ago. I am a “summer” person but decided that I needed to embrace winter. Joining Sheryl’s group was one of the best things I’ve done for me and my family. It allows me to participate in an activity I enjoy and when “The Mom” is happy everyone else is happy. I have hiked and snow shoed with Sheryl in weather ranging from 5 degrees to 100 degrees and have always had a great time. She teaches the group how to dress and adapt to all weather conditions, makes sure the trails are safe, and is genuinely concerned for everyone’s well being. I am a fair weather person but Sheryl somehow manages to make even camping in the rain not only an adventure but an enjoyable experience. There is a place for everyone in this group – all ages, all abilities. Do yourself a favor and embrace the wonderful outdoor opportunities of this beautiful state and meet some great people, all while doing your body a healthful favor. You’ll be having such a good time you won’t even realize that this is “exercise”!
