Safety is our #1 priority for all of our snowshoeing activities. A few extra safety tips include:

  • Avoid snowshoeing in the backcountry wilderness area alone, unprepared or inexperienced
  • Stay with experienced snowshoeing groups, like mine, who are familiar with the terrain
  • Know before you go!  Learn where SAFE trails are from experienced snowshoeing groups like mine, local outdoor retail stores, etc.
  • Pay attention to weather and snow conditions and adjust your plans accordingly
  • Tell someone where you are going and when you plan to return
  • Learn about Avalanche Danger and how to stay safe, go to: http://utahavalanchecenter.org/
