At the time I made this video several years ago, this was what we did.

since then, there has been plenty of mixed reviews about stretching before you begin exercising. 

Take a few minutes to look at the article below on how to warm up your muscles before you engage on any heavy duty snowshoeing.

Since I have now completed over 900 hiking and snowshoeing outings in the past 9 years, what has worked for me is to just start walking with my snowshoes on, which gradually warms up my muscles, then I can stretch more easily.

This article gives some great reasons why you want to warm up your muscles before doing any serious stretching to prevent injury.
