All of our backpacking trips are created for beginner & intermediate backpacking abilities
Meet your guide in Kamas (a 40-minute drive from Salt Lake valley)
Professional Backpacking Guide will teach, lead and coach you as needed
Opportunities to learn valuable, basic outdoor survival and emergency preparedness skills
Activities include hiking, backpacking, backcountry cooking
3 - 4 days prior to departure: Online Zoom meeting with guides.
2 PM: Meet at the Kamas Food Town for a final gear check and group gear distribution. Leave Kamas Food Town and arrive at trailhead. Short hike before setting up camp.
7 - 8 AM: Breakfast, break camp. Loose schedule based on those attending. Weather conditions may be a factor.
4 PM: Set up Camp, dinner, etc.
7 - 8 AM: Breakfast, break camp.
2 - 3 PM: Arrive back to the trailhead and our cars, drive home
Pre-trip online meeting is held prior to departure.
A complete list of what to bring is given once we receive your deposit.
Pre-trip Assistance: receive professional assistance from one of our guides helping you select your basic rental gear i.e. tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, backpack, seasonal footwear, etc.
Guides provide plenty of water through a filtration system, cookware, meals/food
All standard food is provided. Dinner on the first evening until lunch on the final day.
Bring your own specialty foods if you need them.
Minimum 3 people, maximum 10 per trip
6 meals provided (along with snacks) (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinner)
2 nights camping
Balance due 15 days prior to departure
