Kayak & SUP - What to bring



  • Mess Kit - plate, cup, fork, spoon, knife, bowl

  • First Aid Kit - basic (bandaids, Ibuprofen, etc.)

  • Water bottle

  • Dry clothes to change into

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Comfortable clothing to wear on the water

  • Towel

  • Hat

  • Life Jacket, your own (we can help you find a good one for a reasonable price, one that fits you well)

  • Lip Balm

  • Cell phone

  • Utah State Park Annual Pass or Entrance money (without an annual pass, day pass is $30/vehicle on Saturday. Carpool or buy the Annual Pass!)

  • Light Jacket

  • Insect Repellent (I have never used this but bring some just in case)

  • Small cooler with items like: water, snacks, fruit, cheese, crackers, etc.

  • Light or Headlamp

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Bar of Soap (in case there is none in the bathroom, which is rare)

  • Food items to share with the group (individually wrapped items are preferred)

OPTIONAL:

  • Table cloth - For a picnic table.

  • Camping Chair - We can spread out a little more

  • Small Picnic blanket - or sit on the grass with a blanket

  • Yoga Mat - sit on the grass

  • Water shoes

  • Camera

  • Carabiners - to clip your shoes to your kayak if you are not wearing them

  • Rope - if we need to tow someone in

  • Sports Umbrella - another way to stay in the shade
